Applied Texture:
The design
of this bridge was inspired by the church which designed by Peter Zumthor. From
the church plan, I think it is very similar to the shape of the leaves. In
order to connect the design with my theory, I used some long curve lines to generate
the curved surfaces, which has angles. In addition, I choose to use glass and
metal as basic materials of my building fabric. The glass walls, combining with
the organic structure and curve shape, with the function of sunlight, generate the
amazing sun shadows. In some rooms, the audience can also appreciate the magical
effects, generated by the combination of glass and light. I also widely use plans
in my design, in order to make my building fabric to work in cooperation with the
sustainable standard.
